GROWing Smarter Tour
April 13-17, 2020 1st and 2nd Grade
To make a reservation, please select 1 from the quantity box, indicating you want 1 timeslot. You will be asked how many people are in your group later in the reservation process. The minimum group size to reserve a tour slot is 15 students. Please note that this tour is designed for regular ed 1st and 2nd grade classes. We encourage special needs, daycare, pre-K, and Kindergarten groups to select our Bunny Patch tour. If you are making reservations for a group of 100 or more, please call 833-327-6386 BEFORE making your online reservation. A $27 deposit will be charged at the time of your booking and will later be refunded from the total amount you owe when you arrive for your field trip.
During this guided tour, students will learn from our certified teacher about the life cycle of plants and rabbits and their relationship to each other. The following MS College and Career Standards will be covered:
- LK.2.2 Life cycle of plants and rabbits.
- LK.3A.1 What do plants and rabbits need to live?
- LK.3B.1 Observe and communicate the plant and animal food relationship.
Students will participate in planting their own seeds and take them back to the classroom to watch them grow. Students will also be able to observe our farm animals in Animal Acres and spend some time playing on our giant jumping pillow and 100' slide.
Your group may add a hotdog lunch for an additional $4.00 per child. Lunch includes hotdog, apple juice sipper, and chips. OR Your group may add a hamburger lunch for an additional $5.00 per child. Lunch includes a hamburger, an apple sipper drink, and chips. Number of lunches needed must be provided 3 days in advance of your tour.
Admission is $9.00 per person (children and adults). We do allow one free teacher per 10 paying students. The tour will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
